当館ギャラリーでは、11月1日（金）～12月25日（水）にかけて、

UWＣ ISAK JAPAN（ユナイテッド・ワールド・カレッジ・アイザック・ジャパン）

作品展「From me to You」を開催いたします。

“From me to You” ～「私からあなたへ」

What connects us? 　私たちを繋げるものは何でしょうか。

What divides us? 　私たちを互いから遠ざけるものは何でしょうか。

Even if we look different, speak differently, act strangely, we have a common humanity and simple acts, a smile, a sign of consideration, laughing together, the giving of a gift, can create bridges across chasms that culture and history have dug.

私たちは、外見も、喋り方も、物事に対する見方も違います。それでも共通することは山ほどあり、それらが繋がったときに、お互いの文化や歴史に対する理解が深まるのです。

The exhibition contains life-size 24 portraits of people who represent ideas of diversity. We regard diversity as a potential source of strength rather than a difficulty. Out of diversity can grow knowledge and understanding. And knowledge and understanding have, through reducing ignorance and fear, the potential of achieving peace.

「多様性」とは何か。今回の展示では、24作品の実物大の肖像画で「多様性」を表現しています。「多様性」が無関心や怖れをなくし、知識や理解を深める。それが平和に繋がるのだと私たちは深く信じております。互いに存在する違いを厄介なものではなく、更なるものへ変化していくための力の源として捉えているのです。

We invite you to look in our eyes and recognise what connects us more than what keeps us apart.

一つ一つの作品をご覧になって、私たちの見た目の違いではなく、

私たちを繋いでいるものに気付いて頂けると幸いです。
